Cough, Seeze, Wheeze, and Moan

Yes, on our first full day in Lyon I have caught a cold. 😩

The weather in the north of France was unusually warm and sunny last week except the final day, and now that we’re in the south? Unusually cool. Only a high of 62 today, with cold winds. Felt a bit like Wyoming. We were supposed to take a panoramic tour, but I wasn’t up to it (I feel pretty aweful). People who did told us it was brutally cold all day.

So what’s on tap for tomorrow? We’re going to hire a cab and go on our own panoramic tour! That’s assuming I stop coughing and sneezing. Trying not to spew germs on anyone else, although I must assume that’s how I got this.

We lost our beautiful view as another Viking ship moored along side us. Sigh. But we attended a lecture on screen printing this evening, which was so interesting. It’s an incredible process.

One of my cousins texted me to send more food pictures. Once I’m back to eating in the dining room, I’ll try to remember. Speaking of dining room … the people we sat with last night were two seriously boorish women. They told us about everywhere they had travelled, and every surgery they’d had, and spoke to us as though we’d never travelled before, nor been to France previously. Oy! This evening we ate with four women – two age 75 and two age 80. The were hilarious! They call themselves The Cruise Bitches – they even have shirts with rhinestones!
