Not Gone for Good – 164

So, I skipped a few days … a week, maybe? I was telling a friend (and blog follower) this morning, that I just didn’t have anything to say. That’s not like me, is it?! Truthfully, I’ve just been trying to figure out what I’m doing moving forward as we count our days toward the big trip.

I’m going to concentrate my current efforts on not just the diet, but more on the activity. I want to enjoy our travel and be able to enjoy everything that goes with it – architecture, people, restaurants, and al the fun things of France. As previously mentioned, probably waaaayyyy too many times, I’m movement limited. But my pool times has been really great recently. Minimal pain and getting a full 75 minutes of swim time every day. I’ve absolutely loved the addition of the modified breast stroke – very freeing.

I’m going back to the basics … diet, pool, walk, resistance … repeat. I also have to up the step goals! I just can’t seem to consistently get over 3500 steps. Some days great – some days not even close. A long while ago, someone reminded me that you have to walk “with intent,” not just try to get your steps in. My sister-in-law walks her home (250 steps) each time FitBit buzzes a reminder to her. I keep saying I’ll do that … now’s the time!
