Day 99 – Really?!

Diets are like driving old back-roads. Lots of hills, and curves, and you get distracted by the view. Yesterday, I enjoyed a complete break from the plan in the form of a very delicious steak fajita dinner at Racine’s. We had an excellent meal, a very entertaining waiter, and a modicum of post-meal guilt.

But check out my Fitbit overnight report:

Seriously … TEN hours and 26 minutes of sleep – with only 13 minutes awake or restless. It’s a record!!

Thanks to an attempt to get a new chair, pick up digital memories, and try to buy a new swimsuit … I also walked 3298 steps. Go me!

But it’s back to the pool for tomorrow and Friday. Then five days off from the pool (not celebrating that), to head to Wyoming for meetings. These kind of pauses to the reliability of my schedule always concern me. I’m trying to decide how to best stay close to the plan, get plenty of steps, maybe swim if I can figure out where, and plan my “on the road” food. You’ll remember from some long ago post – I have a very difficult time not snacking on the road. And I have very specific snack favorites … those darned red vines, among others.

Anyway … I’m headed to a landmark weight (hopefully soon – I’ll give details when I get there) but I don’t want to fall off track over the next week. So I have to put a good and do-able plan together. I’ve been mulling that over today while preparing audit documents. Does this sound fun? You’re right.
